Risk Assessment Report
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development’s (DWD) Unemployment Insurance System was operating on an out-dated mainframe environment. A new system was still several years away and DWD faced many challenges and risks associated with maintaining its current system to ensure that services and benefits to its customers — both individuals and employers — continued to be provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Watertown Group prepared a Risk Assessment Report that detailed the risks, issues, costs, and alternatives associated with the existing technical platform, which allowed DWD to select a recommendation that would help mitigate the short-term risk associated with its aging technology platform, while proceeding with their long-term plan to replace its Unemployment System.
