Application Portfolio Analysis/Organizational Assessment
The Indianapolis Police and Marion County Sheriff’s Departments are merging to support the consolidation of law enforcement functions and personnel. The new entity will be known as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
Watertown Group conducted an Application Portfolio Analysis and Information Technology (IT) Organizational Assessment for both Departments. The scope of effort included an evaluation of the overall health of law enforcement applications, compilation of an inventory of infrastructure assets and costs, an assessment of each department’s IT organization, and the definition of short-term and long-term recommendations regarding the future consolidated IMPD’s applications suite and organizational structure.
